She thrives to offer personalized, family-centered, and compassionate dental care. She strongly believes in prevention, educating patients and parents and promoting infant oral health care.
Throughout adolescence, Dr. Gosselin enjoyed working with children in organized sports and as a day-camp counsellor. During dental school, her interest in working with children was rekindled while completing an internship at the ‘Université de Rennes’ in France in 2009, where she found much enjoyment spending most of her time working with the young and the handicapped. She graduated from ‘Universite Laval, in Quebec City, with a Doctorat en Medecine Dentaire, Profil International in 2010. In 2012, she completed a 2-year Paediatric Dental General Practice Residency Program at the IWK Health Centre and Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she worked at the Children’s Hospital and taught undergraduate dental students. Next, she furthered her knowledge in Pediatric Dentistry while completing a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Toronto in 2015.
She derived much satisfaction from her Residency Program and her Graduate Program where she gained significant experience working with children; she managed and treated young children with severe decay (baby bottle cavities, severe early childhood caries), medically comprised children, patients with intellectual disabilities, and children with neuromuscular impairments. She also acquired competency in treating anxious young patients with behaviour guidance and with pharmacological management such as conscious sedation, moderate sedation and general anaesthesia.
During her training, Dr. Gosselin received the Pierre Fauchard Academy Student Scholarship in 2010 for her participation in research projects throughout her undergraduate dental training and her ongoing involvement in her community through volunteer work. In 2014, she was awarded the runner up, Dr. Titley Pediatric Dental Graduate Training Scholarship.
After obtaining her certification in Pediatric Dentistry speciality, she decided to settle with her family in the beautiful Edmonton area, where she enjoys the proximity of the Rockies being an outdoor enthusiast. She also enjoys cycling, performing and visual arts and sports. She is an avid traveler, yoga student, and a great cook!
